My Size
I’m a thirteen year old girl who does karate. I’m 5′2″ and weigh 86 pounds—and I can’t gain weight! Every time I get hit I go flying! I want to gain weight. At this point, I don’t have any fat in me. Sometimes we burn six thousand calories in forty minutes and sometimes more, and I just can’t gain weight!

Eat a lot of brownies, cookies, cake—everything you are not supposed to eat—stuff your face all day with fatty, delicious foods.
Calm down. If you really want to gain weight, do it the healthy way, build muscle. It’s actually much denser than fat and of course has other uses.
Eating brownies every day and other food full of probably carcinogenic chemicals (if you don’t know, you are completely uninformed) is no use. Do weight training. It will take time and it is necessary for healthy and advantageous weight gain.
I understand where you’re coming from as a fellow female martial artist. Weight does play a role in sparing, sambo, grappling, etc., but you are a young girl who is at a healthy weight for your age and size. There is no reason to change that. Instead of focusing on gaining weight, you need to try gaining more muscle. That will make the real difference when your fighting.
