Clothing Tags

They poke, scratch and cause general discomfort. So why are they still added to clothes, especially now that some clothing manufacturers are starting to screenprint the relevant information to the inside of the item? And clearly some companies are simply copiers, not innovators, because they add the screenprinted logo by the neckline—and then put an old-style tag somewhere down on the left side too, apparently unaware that this is even more uncomfortable than the original back-of-the-neck location.
