“People with Depression Are Crazy”

I hate it when people say that! Just because we’re depressed, it doesn’t mean that we’ll all fly off the hinge and kill ourselves at the drop of a hat! We’re not crazy, we’re just different, with different feelings about ourselves and the world. And if it’s hopelessness, we’d really appreciate it if you supported us instead of calling us insane! And just because we take anti-depressants, it doesn’t mean that we’re overreacting. We’re getting help. And people who make suicide jokes aren’t funny, just offensive. This is just my opinion on the matter.
