Things That I Hate

When Parents Interfere

I’m having my quinceañera and like a month ago I was going to reserve the H2 Hummer transformer limousine but my dad said no because he said to look for a cheap one and now I decide to call to reserve it and it’s been taken and I ask for my second choice which is the Cadillac transformer limousine and it’s been taken too so now I can’t have my dream ride or the food I wanted or even the color I wanted because they don’t like my ideas, even if it’s my quinceañera…

  1. God forbid you can’t get the most expensive limo for your 15th birthday party or the best food. You’re a spoiled brat and if I were either of your parents, I’d cancel the whole damn thing.

  2. Try putting some periods in your paragraphs. Anyway, I can’t really offer any advice other than to tell you that this is what life is like. I’m not saying it’s bad, you just have to make compromises. When things don’t go perfectly you just have to say “Oh well. At least I have this, right?” And life goes on. Focus on what you have rather than what you could have had. (H2s aren’t all they’re cracked up to be anyway).

  3. I think you should be a little more grateful! Sure, its your Quinceanera, but its your parents who are paying for it. Be a little more sensitive, maybe they don’t have the money or the resources to provide you with a “H2 Hummer Transformer Limousine” or a “Cadillac Transformer Limosuine” or the “dream food” or the “dream color”!

  4. Girl, if there is no money, then there’s no money. There are far more important things than your quinceanera…. like college, for example, or being able to buy you stuff you actually need. New dreams will come along, bigger ones, but remember that the ones that are worth it do not require a huge bank account to be accomplished, just effort.

  5. I agree with Alex above. In a few years you’ll look back and think that these details were stupid or not that great anyway. Seriously, there are more important things to worry about.
