People Who Use Limited Resources Without Needing Them

I was at an outdoor restaurant that had a few tables with umbrellas and the rest without. A couple came outside and sat at a table with an umbrella, then immediately folded it shut. Why take up a table with an umbrella someone else might want if you don’t want to use the umbrella?
