I love this show, but it said one inappropriate thing and, of course, my dad came in right at that second. Now I’m forbidden from watching the show I like.

I experienced similar conditions when growing up and had to craft ways to work around limitations. I had very good hearing to know when people were coming and could quickly switch things if someone were about to discover me watching something I wasn’t allowed to watch. I also read a lot more on my computer because that was easier to hide. My parents didn’t want me reading or watching much of anything fictional because I had to spend my life devoted to God instead and fiction would distract me from that mission. Now I’m an atheist. So I guess that worked out for me in the end anyway.
God is fiction, though.
