Irrational and Hypocritical Parents

My mom takes naps every day after work. I crawled into bed with her once (I’m a girl) because I wanted to nap too. So as we’re laying there, just as I realized that I forgot to turn my phone to silent, someone texts me. She immediately says, “Turn that off. You’re in my room and my bed, so you have to accommodate me.” I agreed with her, so I turned it off, apologized, and went back to bed. The next week, I decided to take a nap in my room. My mom’s like, “Heyyy, can I come nap with you, please?” I’m like, “Sure!” So she comes and we’re falling asleep as my phone yet again receives a new text, because, again, I forgot. She’s like, “Omg! Turn it off! I’m your guest, so you have to accommodate me.”

I was pretty much speechless.
