People Who Can’t Take a Hint

It annoys me when people are either too ignorant or too eager to take a hint. I don’t want to go out this weekend, or next weekend, or the weekend after. I’m making excuses because I don’t want to go.

It’s nice that you think of inviting me somewhere, but don’t act all upset and try and make me feel guilty when I say no. If I say “Oh, I’ll think about it” to a number of your offers, it generally means “Probably not, but I’m too nice to say ‘no’ right away.”

Constant persistence is sometimes incredibly annoying.
