Gum on the floor

I hate it when I step on gum and it sticks to my shoe and I try to wipe it off by scraping my foot back and forth across a surface but that doesn’t work so I look around for a twig to use to pry it off, but that doesn’t get it all of either and leaves bits of it all over so now whenever I walk, it feels like my shoe is sticking the floor ever so slightly and it makes a noise with every step.
