I hate when people in the U.S. say to speak English because it’s their language. Are you stupid? America doesn’t have an official language.

Well, that depends on what country you’re actually referring to, since America includes North America, Central America, and South America. But you know that. You’re not stupid.
The point is that English is the predominant language in the U.S. by a ridiculous margin. Anybody with an decent job in this country speaks English.
