“No Homo”

What the heck is that about?! Almost everyone at my school says it. I’m in high school and I can’t call my friend pretty without one of our friends saying “say ‘no homo’ after that!” No! I will not say “no homo”, because there is nothing gay about calling another girl pretty, or even hot! One time my friend noticed my necklace was backwards, and she said “Fix your necklace. It’s bothering me, but no homo or anything, I just noticed it, I wasn’t looking at your boobs.” Okay, I mean, I didn’t think that you were looking at my chest. But because you feel the need to remind me you’re not gay, now I’m a little curious as to why you brought it up in the first place. For goodness sakes, I did not know that our society had come to a point where everything we say is “homosexual” unless we clarify that it is not.
