My Bulging Belly
I have been doing sit-ups and crunches for a long time. My trainer tells me my belly will go away soon, but it has been a year already! I run three times a week and every thing else is okay except for my protruding belly. People think I’m pregnant! I don’t even have kids!

Doing sit-ups and crunches strengthens the abs underneath the fat. Maybe it’s just your body shape.
Maybe you need to increase your workout. Doing the same number of sit-ups for however long will keep you where you are. You need to work harder to improve. The same goes for running a distance or time. Try running every day. Your diet may also be a factor.
Situps and crunches will not burn fat. If you want your muscles to show, you need to lower your body fat. No muscles will show with a high body fat percentage—it doesn’t matter how many situps you do. You need to do cardio, strength-training and have a proper diet to lower your body fat.
