The General World
Why must there be war? What must there be fighting, money problems, and job losses? I mean, I might only be fourteen but I get the back end of everything. Yes news, just make my parents worried and mad. Why can’t everyone just get along, and stop playing tricks with us?

Well, if everyone got along well, life wouldn’t be interesting. Also, they wouldn’t get along, it would be normal. Just like if everyone were nice, people wouldn’t be nice, because everyone was nice. They wouldn’t be unique.
Intriguing’s explanation, like the poster’s questions, is based on the presupposition that the world is the way it is supposed to be. The fact is, the world is like this because we are nowhere near finished evolving. Our emerging emotions mix with our base animal instincts to create turmoil. The human race is in its infancy. Give it a few million more years.
Human nature is what it is for a reason and I would rather not mess with it.
Because people have to die for others to live.
Actually, Michael, evolution doesn’t really finish, it’s an ongoing process, not a goal. But you have a valid point, civilization was made for us, but we weren’t made for it. I also think that civilization evolves far too fast for nature to keep up with. Humans haven’t changed much or at all since it began. We’ll either ditch it or fix it, but it won’t fix us.
co-hater, I didn’t mean to imply that evolution does finish. That would infer a predetermined endpoint, and intelligent design. I just meant that we’re far from evolving into a peaceful, well-adapted global society.
