Airplane Neighbors
When on an airplane I am hesitant to speak to the person next to me, because they suddenly think we have become best friends. They will try to speak to me the whole flight, offer me some of the snacks they brought from home in a sandwich baggy, then feel offended when you reject the offer. They will ask why you are going to wherever it is you’re going, they will bother you while trying to read, they will ask you to give a synopsis of your book, they will ask to read the summary of your book, they will wake you up when the snacks and drinks come by (thinking they have done you a favor when you would rather sleep than eat peanuts and a shot of Pepsi), they will tell you about their life and ask you about yours, they will offer to share blankets, they will put their head on your shoulder while sleeping (oh man, that is the worst). Maybe this is just me, but on an airplane, keep conversation short please.
