Things That I Hate

My Grandmother’s Housekeeper

We pay you to clean the house, not give me advice on how to live my life. You say I “should do a bit more to help out around here”? Well, I say you have no idea how much I do for my grandmother! I drive her to all her appointments, cook dinner, buy the groceries, watch after four cats and a dog, remind her to pay bills and return letters, take phone calls, do laundry, and clean up the six days of the week you aren’t here, all on top of going to school full-time! You want to call me lazy because you don’t see me doing anything the one day I get something that resembles a break? Go ahead, but remember that I’m my grandmother’s favorite grandchild, and I can get you fired if you keep talking down to me.
