When Teachers Don’t Let You Use Things

Why can’t we chew gum in class? It’s not like we blow huge bubbles and stick it to our desks and papers. We are allowed to have it during standardized testing! Why can’t we just have gum all the time? No one in my school sticks gum under the desk. And it’s proven to help you think better. Having your phone is a little different, but not much. If you have your phone in class, and then at certain parts of class you have to put it on the corner of your desk it’s fine! Why can we have our phones at lunch? You aren’t learning anything, just eating and talking. I don’t think texting your mom is a disturbance! My gym teacher texts on her phone all class! Why don’t the teachers get in trouble?
