Things That I Hate

Use Your Brain

I’m not trying to be mean or technical, but isn’t the person who submitted the story titled Racism being racist by saying they hate racists?

Comments

  1. Doesn’t racism only occur when the group or person that you are prejudiced against are innocent in the same area?

  2. “People Who Hate Racism” is not a race. Racism is prejudice against people because of their racial background. As race is not something someone choses, and because, despite what some people once believed—and continue to believe—being of a certain race does not make you inferior to anyone else, it is wrong to judge people by their race.

It is not, however, wrong to judge someone by their beliefs. One should not oppress them, but one can judge them. One chooses their beliefs, and as such, they are worthy of judgement. Racism is a flawed, harmful, evil thing, and people who advocate it should be judged.
