Breaks Between Classes That are Just Long Enough to Accomplish Nothing
As a music major, I am constantly running from class to class and rehearsal to rehearsal all day long. On the few days that I have two or three hours between shenanigans, it’s nice to sit down, maybe do some homework, get something to eat, or even take a nap. When breaks are shorter I feel almost duped. In the grand scheme of things, forty minutes or even an hour isn’t enough time to do much of anything! A quarter of that is for walking from one place to the next and the rest feels like wasted time. It’s exceptionally difficult looking for a job during the day when you have that type of a schedule and most jobs require at least two hour shifts at a time on campus.
I am grateful to have breaks at all… but I feel like a bum sitting in the cafeteria just waiting for the next class!
