The Color Ultraviolet

I just hate it so much. I really want to see what it looks like, but it is invisible! My dad said he knows a guy who is blind in one eye and he can see ultraviolet. He said that ultraviolet looks like purple. Duh! Violet is purple! What shade of purple? How bright is it? Seriously!
