People Freaking out When I Go to Answer the Door

I am 11 years old. Still, I have family members that freak out when I go to answer the door. We have a peephole and I can see who it is. And when there isn’t a peephole I look through the window. If I don’t know who it is, I simply lock the door. What’s the big deal? I’m not a baby anymore!
