My Birthday

Today was my birthday, and while many people have a fun party or a small get together, I did nothing. I sat around with my 16 year old sister while we watched TV and ate an ice cream cone my mother dropped off. I watched my sister leave for work while I sat there alone in the apartment and waited for my mother. She stopped in for half an hour and was gone until three in the morning. The only exciting part was that my cat seemed to know how I felt and stayed with me until I fell asleep. Happy birthday to me!
