People Who Ask You to Do Something Then Do it Themselves Anyway

On many an occasion have I been asked to complete a task or errand for someone, to which I have politely agreed. On attempting to com­plete the task, however, I am told that someone else has already done it. This makes me look like the fool. I do not appreciate being checked upon or double-guessed. Do not micromanage me. If I say I will do it in a certain time frame, I will do it in a certain time frame. You’re wa­sting my time and sounding like my mother.
