When People Cut Your Sentences off and Switch Subjects

It bothers me when I’m talking about something to a person and that person cuts my sentence off and talks about a completely different subject. For example:

“Did you hear there was a car accident yesterday and the—”

“Yeah, did you see the Phillies game yesterday?”

It’s like the person doesn’t even care what you have to say!
