When People Tell Me Cheerleading Isn’t a Sport

I do competitive cheerleading and people always say that it’s not a sport. Do football players throw 125 girls in the air and catch them? No, they throw a 10 pound football, but does anyone ever question whether football is a sport? Nope. Do baseball players risk their lives everyday to entertain an audience? No. Have you ever seen a basketball player do a full? Of course not. I’m not saying these aren’t sports which are hard in there own way but we should get some credit, so unless you can do at least one of these things, don’t tell me it’s not a sport.
