Movies or Shows That Are on Tv That Beep out the Swear Words

You know when that little message comes up before a movie or a show (coarse language, blah, blah, viewer discretion is advised)? Why do they take out the swear words too? We were advised, just bleeping it out makes it harder to understand what the character is saying. It drives me insane!
