The University of Maryland
Over the summer I worked in a lab at the University of Maryland. I spent $96 on a parking permit, and parked legally all summer. Predictably enough, I never got a citation, because I never did anything wrong.
Today I got not one, but two tickets for “parking violations†from UMD. Incidentally, these parking violations occurred four days after I left the state, with my car and my parking permit in tow.
Just because you handled your finances poorly and consequently suffered from the recession doesn’t mean you have to commit such injustices upon those who rejected you. Yeah, that’s right, I rejected my full scholarship from UMD. And aptly so. Go Hoos!
