I’m not shy, but I’m really awkward, and I hate it when I can’t talk to someone or say something correctly because I’m just too awkward.

I don't have that problem. When I wish to say something I don't refrain unless of course proper manners induce me to think that it's too rude. I believe that laughing about something later is better than regretting never sying something.
Be awkward in a funny way. Or, better yet, do what I do, make people feel like you are so smart that they just can't comprehend your actions or words.
just keep in mind that we're all winging it. the human race persists, bathing in an infinitely vast sea of awkwardness. nothing is normal.
