Hypocritical Mothers
My older brother recently moved into his own apartment and my mother told him that he can’t leave his dog home alone because a dog is like a child and you can’t leave children alone. Well, my mom got a new boyfriend and now she’s barely ever home, and she yells at me when I bring up the subject.

Pfff! A dog is NOT like a child. (I'm a vet, so I know what I'm talking about.) Unless the dog is very small, or gets stressed when left alone, or destroys everything in the house when people aren't watching, it can be left alone for a while without problem.
